Lonicera, Madressilva.
Madreselva, the Mother of the forest, where sweetness weaves through the unseen.
A space to slow down, belong, and bloom in the natural rhythm of life.

Rooted in a deep relationship with the plant world, and inspired by the quiet beauty of honeysuckle, Madreselva is a living project shaped over many years of experience, dedication, and care.

Like the honeysuckle, which grows with grace, resilience, and sweetness, this work has unfolded steadily, guided by attention and a deep listening to life.

Our work is shaped by permaculture, hospitality, art, therapeutic care, and a reverence for the intelligence of nature.

We understand well-being as something that grows through relationships:

with the earth, with the elements, with one another,

and with the more-than-human life that surrounds us.

Through stays, retreats, learning experiences, and shared moments of presence, we cultivate the conditions for a more grounded, meaningful, and life-giving way of living.

At Madreselva, we care for both the visible and invisible foundations of a good life:

shelter, beauty, nourishment, rhythm, attention, and connection.

This is a place tended with devotion, where inner and outer landscapes are restored together.

Our dedication to this path began in 2004. After years of projects and collaborations, Madreselva took form in Colares, Sintra.

Now, it is entering a new chapter, putting down deeper roots in a 14-hectare land in Marvão.

This moment marks a profound expansion of our vision, in which everything we have learned is being brought to the ground with greater depth, maturity, and a renewed sense of belonging.
