THE PLACE

Where Nature Still Sets The Rhythm

IMG_8640_edited.jpg

Our property extends across 14 hectares of living, varied landscape, where the forest unfolds through chestnut, pine, oak, and other native species that give this land its character, shade, and sense of memory. It is a place where nature still sets the rhythm: a stream runs through the land, rock formations emerge from the terrain with an ancient presence, and every corner invites silence, contemplation, and a return to what is essential.

At the heart of the property stands a wonderful century-old house, carefully restored using traditional and ecological methods, in deep respect for the local building wisdom and the original spirit of the place.

Beyond the main house, the property offers several forms of accommodation, all thoughtfully integrated into the landscape and designed to create a close and meaningful experience of nature: three accommodation yurts and four bell tents, allowing guests to live close to the elements with charm, simplicity, and intimacy. There is also the Temple, a 9-metre-diameter yurt created to host activities, practices, gatherings, retreats, and shared moments. A spacious, circular, and inspiring place dedicated to presence, learning, and connection.

Everything here has been shaped to offer an experience of depth, simplicity, and beauty: a place where shelter, nature, and care come together.

Located in the Marvão area, the property is surrounded by a truly exceptional setting.

Marvão lies in the Alto Alentejo, within the São Mamede Natural Park, a landscape known for its remarkable biological, geological, and scenic richness.

The mountain range, is often described as a “biological island,” where woodlands, rocky slopes, and cultivated land create unique conditions for a rich and distinctive biodiversity. The hilltop village of Marvão is known for its beauty, authenticity, heritage, and breathtaking views across the region.
